YOUR TIME
I know if I can wait,
I know if I am patient,
Every step that I take,
Will lead to my salvation.
I get so restless, you know,
Like a racehorse at the gate.
And Your Time seems so slow,
That I just take off and race.
God you gave me this life,
This life I know is mine.
And I'll burn it out so quick,
Going faster than Your Time.
You are the one to bless me,
With what I need to slow down.
To stop searching for all the answers,
And just be a witness to Your Crown.
Holy God protect me from my evils,
My thoughts and ways that lead to sin,
So many times I rush off without you with me,
Only to fall and start again!
God you gave me this life,
This life I know is mine.
And I'll burn it out so quick,
Going faster than Your Time.
